Bumasan was founded in Turkey by a team that watched international buyers struggle to find, verify, and safely pay Turkish manufacturers. We built the platform we wished existed.

The problem we are solving

Turkey is one of Europe's most powerful manufacturing nations — world-class steel, textiles, ceramics, and machinery, with 0% EU import tariff and 3–5 day truck delivery to Germany. Yet most European buyers are still sourcing from China, paying 8–12% duty and waiting 45 days.

The reason is trust and friction. No verified directory of Turkish manufacturers exists. No safe payment mechanism for first-time orders. No standard RFQ format. The entire process happens across Google searches, cold emails, and unprotected wire transfers.

Bumasan fixes all of that in one platform — in English, French, and Turkish.

How we got here.

2024
Idea and research
6 months interviewing European importers and Turkish factory owners. The pattern is clear: both sides want to trade, neither trusts the process.
2025
Platform designed and built
Full platform in EN/FR/TR. Escrow model validated with Turkish lawyer and banking partners. First 50 manufacturers onboarded.
2026
Beta launch
Closed beta with verified manufacturers across 8 Turkish cities and buyers from France, Belgium, and Germany. First escrow transaction completed in week 2.
2026+
Scale
Target: 1,000 manufacturers, 500 active buyers, €5M monthly escrow by end 2026. Expand to Morocco and Egypt in 2027.
