Terms of Service

IMPORTANT NOTICE

By creating an account on Bumasan or using any Bumasan service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

1. Definitions and parties

Bumasan refers to Bumasan Teknoloji A.Ş., incorporated in Turkey (Konya Trade Registry No. 12345), operating the Bumasan platform at bumasan.com.

Buyer refers to any legal entity or individual registering on the platform to source products from Turkish manufacturers.

Manufacturer refers to any Turkish legal entity registered to offer products or manufacturing services to buyers.

Escrow Account refers to the dedicated bank account maintained by Bumasan at an authorised Turkish credit institution, used exclusively to hold buyer funds during active transactions.

2. Account registration and verification

To access full platform features, users must create an account and complete our verification process.

Buyers must provide a valid company registration from their country of incorporation.
Manufacturers must have a valid Turkish Trade Registry (MERSİS) entry. Bumasan verifies this automatically.
False information will result in immediate account termination.
One account per legal entity. Multiple accounts for the same entity are prohibited.

3. Platform usage rules

You agree to use Bumasan for legitimate commercial purposes only. The following are strictly prohibited:

Posting false or misleading product or company information
Circumventing the escrow system by transacting off-platform for orders originating on Bumasan within 12 months of initial contact
Harassing or abusing other platform users
Using the platform for any illegal activity
Scraping or systematically extracting data without written permission

FACILITATION FEE POLICY

If a buyer and manufacturer who first made contact through Bumasan transact directly within 12 months of that contact, a facilitation fee of 3% of the transaction value (minimum €500) is owed to Bumasan. By accepting these terms, both parties acknowledge this obligation.

4. RFQ and quotation process

Sending an RFQ does not constitute a binding order. An order is only created when a buyer accepts a quote and initiates an escrow payment. Manufacturers are expected to respond to RFQs in good faith and within the stated deadline.

5. Escrow payment service

Bumasan operates an in-house escrow service. The full terms are set out in the Escrow Agreement, incorporated by reference into these Terms.

Funds are held in a dedicated account separate from Bumasan's operating funds
Released only upon buyer confirmation of receipt, or after dispute resolution
Bumasan charges 2% of transaction value (minimum €50), paid by the buyer
Bumasan is not a bank — escrow is provided as a commercial intermediary service

6. Fees and payment

Manufacturer subscriptions: €0 (Basic), €99/month (Verified), €249/month (Premium)
Buyer subscriptions: €0 (Explorer), €149/month (Pro Buyer)
Escrow fee: 2% (min €50), decreasing to 1.5% after 5 transactions and 1% after 10
Inspection commission: 15–20% of inspector fee retained by Bumasan

All fees exclude applicable VAT. Bumasan reserves the right to change fees with 30 days' notice.

9. Dispute resolution and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation, then submitted to the Konya Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Centre.
